Authors, Illustrators, Editors, and Publishers in Kulā‘iwi
By Ashlyn ’20
Last week’s assembly was very exciting! Kulā‘iwi took the stage as they shared their authoring books with us. Kids took turns telling us all about the experience of writing a book. They acted and sang songs to make it all very interesting to watch.
We read some books such as, “Baseball Night,” “Kaena Point,” and “The Stuffed War.” They taught us the steps to writing a book, like going through the brainstorming, writing, editing, and publishing process. At the end, some of the Kulā‘iwi kids shared all their authoring books that they made. Everyone was impressed with the effort that the Kulā‘iwi kids put into their books and illustrations. It was a great assembly. I hope you all have a fun weekend, and remember to stay healthy!
